Refp17 and vp17s increase breast cancer cell invasion. Cell invasion assay was performed by matrigel-coated transwell system. Cells were resuspended in a serum-free medium and seeded in the upper chamber. Medium supplemented with 200 ng/ml of refp17 or vp17s was used as chemoattractant factor in the lower chamber. After 48 h of culture, migrated cells were stained, photographed and counted (original magnification 10×). Data represent the average of three independent experiments performed in triplicate. Images are representative of three independent experiments with similar results. Statistical analysis was performed by one-way ANOVA, and the Bonferroni post-test was used to compare data (*** P < 0.001)
